Constantly playing second fiddle in the Indian Premier League, Royal Challengers Bangalore will enter the IPL 2024 auction in Dubai on Tuesday with a key focus on securing an overseas bowling option to complement Mohammaed Siraj in the fast-bowling department.

Having already addressed one deficiency, the team bolstered its middle order by acquiring Australian Cameron Green. In the IPL 2023 auction, Mumbai Indians secured Green for a hefty price of Rs 17.50 crore, making him the league’s second most expensive player. However, Mumbai later traded him to RCB to accommodate Hardik Pandya.

Mo Bobat, the Director of Cricket for RCB, emphasized the team’s strong core of retained players and a formidable top order. He explained that the decision to release certain players aimed at strengthening the middle order, and bringing in Cameron Green was deemed a fantastic move, as expressed during the RCB Innovation Lab’s Leaders Meet India.
