There is an intense rivalry between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League. In the IPL 2024, this hit all-time highs. In the upcoming seasons, this would make the tournament more intriguing. To strengthen their team, CSK may choose to include a few of the present RCB players. In light of that, let’s look at the list of three RCB players that CSK may want to bid for in the IPL 2025 Auctions.
1) Faf du Plessis
In the IPL, Faf has remained dominant despite his advanced age. Additionally, he has been performing admirably for the Super Kings teams as both a hitter and a captain.
Because of their emotional bond, if Faf is up for bid in the auctions, CSK is probably going to bid on him. He would be a perfect addition to the top echelon.
2) Glenn Maxwell
One of the RCB players that CSK may seek in the IPL 2025 Auctions is Glenn Maxwell. Maxwell will inevitably be released by RCB before the auctions. IPL 2024 saw him perform poorly, and retention policies might prevent RCB from taking a chance on Maxi.
If you look at IPL teams other than RCB, CSK seems like the ideal fit for the Australian all-round player. He offers off-spin and is excellent against spin. His age range aligns with the franchise’s ethos as well. CSK could therefore give it their all for him.
3) Suyash Prabhudessai
At RCB, Suyash Prabhudessai was not given many opportunities to establish himself. Although they have stuck with him, the franchise hasn’t been able to give him a lengthy rope.
CSK lacks a player with a good range of shots in the batting department, particularly in the finishing department. Suyash has talent in this area, even if he still has a lot to learn. Therefore, CSK may want to consider the Goa all-around player.
